My tree....................... sent by My tree.....................
23/06/2007
This is my first time looking at this informative website and the reasoning for searching this site is because today I was looking thru my portfolio and came across my certificate of my tree. I was maybe between the ages of 6-9 when my grandmother planted trees there for myself and my 2 brothers. I am now 27 and am quite interested in how I would find out more about my tree, whether it is still growing or just exactly what happened to it. I have a number on my certificate here, it is 1400, there's no date or anything but the number on it so I'm not too sure where to seek this info. But I thought posting this note to say I have had a tree planted there by my grandmother some years would be very intriguing so if anyone can help me out on any info please email me back @ rebbecca1@netscape.ca thank you..........

Planting to Celebrate World Environment Day sent by PSTEO
04/06/2007
Tomorrow (World Environment Day 2007) the Science, Technology and Environment Office of Saravane Province in Lao PDR have organised a tree planting event. We have pledged to plant 1500 seedlings with Provincial and District Officials, local villagers and school children. The seedlings will be planted within a recently recreated Biodiversity area in parts that were subject to deforestation prior to protection status being received. The trees will be cared for by local villagers, the "Guardians" of our Biodiversity Area. For more information email: laoenvironment@yahoo.co.nz
