  ARRI
The Appalachian Regional Reforestation Initiative (ARRI) is a coalition of groups, including citizens, the coal industry, and government, dedicated to restoring forests on coal mined lands in the Eastern United States.

  Food For Life Vrindavan
'Trees for Life' or FFLV’s Environment project in India, aims at conserving and developing the natural environment and heritage of this historic and holy land. We promote practical activities with community participation through various awareness programmes, distribution and solutions.
  Forestavenir
The aims of Forestavenir are to motivate organisations and households to become carbon neutral by a series of steps: first of all, absolute energy savings and reduction of fossil fuels usage and second a capture of the incompressible carbon usage by sponsoring trees.
 

Global Trees Campaign
Over 8000 tree species, 10% of the world’s total, are threatened with extinction. Global Trees Campaign aims to help conserve them through information, conservation and wise use.

 

Green Belt Movement
The official site of the Green Belt Movement and its founder, 2004 Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai. GBM provides income and sustenance to millions of people in Kenya through the planting of trees. It also conducts educational campaigns to raise awareness about women's rights, civic empowerment, and the environment throughout Kenya and Africa.

 

International Tree Foundation (ITF)
Since its founding in the 1920s by Richard St Barbe Baker, International Tree Foundation has planted millions of trees globally. ITF provides funds to help communities stop deforestation by planting, protecting and promoting trees at home and abroad.

 

KINOMÉ
Kinomé means "bud" in Japanese and also means "eye (me) of (no) the tree (ki)". In partnership with the most innovative corporations, scientific institutes, local communities, governments, and NGOs, Kinomé brings more economical, environmental and social value to the forests. Thereby Kinomé contributes to reverse the deforestation trend worlwide. Kinomé looks at the challenges of our times with the “eye of tree” and tries to make the most of forests as multi-functional ecosystems : providing bulding materials, biofuel, oxygen, fresh water, living soil, biodiversity, global warming mitigation, leisure and culture… for the benefit of the largest number !

  Maderas Nobles de la Sierra de Segura
Maderas Nobles de la Sierra de Segura is a private sector company headquartered in Spain that has pledged 86,000 trees to the Billion Tree Campaign. Founded in 2000, Maderas Nobles has been planting trees in Spain, offering the possibility to invest in timber, and also facilitating the creation of corporate forests for institutions, businesses, community groups or individuals that wish to compensate their C02 emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change.

National Arbor Day Foundation
National Arbor Day Foundation inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees.

 

Planet Ark
Planet Ark’s National Tree Day is Australia's largest community tree-planting event. Since Tree Day started in 1996 more than 2 million volunteers have planted over 12 million native trees and shrubs, helping to promote biodiversity, provide habitat for native wildlife, and prevent soil erosion and salinity. National Tree Day is a year round campaign, that also includes other key events like Schools Tree Day – a special day for students to plant trees, and Tropical Tree Day – designed to accommodate the best planting times and conditions for the tropical north of Australia. The focus of National Tree Day is the long term care and growth of native plant communities.

Though the effects of deforestation and global warming can't be completely reversed, Plant-a-tree-today assists in the discovery of how planting trees can help to combat climate change, provide sustainable economic development for developing countries and poor rural communities, and reduce the effects of natural disasters.

  Reforest the Tropics (RTT)
An official UNFCCC/ Joint Implementation Project between the United States and Costa Rica that is involved in establishing carbon-offset forests in Costa Rica to develop and demonstrate a model to balance United States CO2 emissions. 
 

Replant New Orleans
Replant New Orleans provides trees to residents in neighborhoods throughout the city, from early Fall to late spring, through their Neighborhood Tree Planting program. Striving for sustainability and longevity of the trees they help plant, the organization provides long term tree care information, workshops, and consultation, with an emphasis on grassroots community involvement, economic and civic improvement and environmental health.

Sustainable Harvest International helps farmers reverse rainforest destruction with sustainable land-use practices that allow them to take control of their environmental and economic destinies.

  Tree Appeal
Tree Appeal bridges the gap between business and the environment by planting trees, sponsored by their corporate partners. Since 2004, they have helped responsible businesses to reduce their environmental footprint and continue to do so by planting many thousands of trees every year. Tree Appeal plants only broad-leaf trees, native to the British Isles, such as oak, ash and beech primarily to encourage woodland habitats and promote biodiversity. In addition, Tree Appeal emphasizes social benefits, particularly where there is an educational aspect, and have planted trees in schools and colleges under their 'Trees for Schools' initiative.
  Trees and Health
Médicos Descalzos (Spain) works to provide free natural therapies to the poor. This NGO is involved in environmental issues such as recycling, energy-saving and tree planting. Tree planting activities include reforesting areas that have affected by forest fires, the creation of urban gardens and planting selected medicinal and fruit trees.
  Tree Link
The Tree Link site provides information, research, and networking for people working in urban and community forestry. Their aim is to raise awareness and support for healthy urban forests.
 

The State of Parana in Brazil 
The State of Parana in Brazil has developed an environmental restoration programme in order to plant 90 million seedlings of forest native species.
The “Riparian Forest Programme” started in November 2003.  Developed by the Parana State government, this project has an ambitious target: to plant 90 million of native trees for the restoration of forests. Coordinated by the Secretary of State for Environment and Water Resources, the priority of the programme is to restore the riparian zones in the state.
The governmental team has planted 61,522,741 seedlings all over the state. This will benefit 57,750 people in rural and urban areas located in 399 municipal districts.

  Wollemi Pine
Wollemi Australia Pty Ltd is a subsidiary company of Forestry Plantations Queensland, the principal commercial plantation forest grower in Queensland. The Botanic Gardens Trust (Sydney) has licensed Wollemi Australia Pty Ltd to propagate and market the Wollemi Pine in Australia and internationally. A key conservation strategy of the Wollemi Pine Recovery Plan is to protect the wild population of these unique plants to ensure Wollemi Pines are growing in gardens, homes, and parks around the world.
  Yachay Wasi
Yachay Wasi, which means House of Learning in Quechua, is a non-governmental organization based in Cusco, Peru and in New York City, USA. The organization launched a campaign to plant one million native trees in the Circuit of Four Lakes -Lagunas acopia, Pomacanchi, Mosoqllacta and Pampamarca in the Peruvian Andes. The Indigenous communities living around the four lakes will nature and take care of the trees which will include; Escallonia resinosa (Chachacomo), Polylepis incana (Qeuna) and Buddleja coriacea (Qolle).

Combat Global Warning: Plant a Tree Take Part in a Global Art / Tree Event - A tree planting scheme that enables people to post photos of tree plantings and dedicate them to friends. This project is also a commemoration of Joseph Beuys' early ecological action of planting 7000 oak trees in Kassel, Germany in the 1980.
