Since 2004, they have helped responsible businesses to reduce their environmental footprint and continue to do so by planting many thousands of trees every year. Tree Appeal plants only broad-leaf trees, native to the British Isles, such as oak, ash and beech primarily to encourage woodland habitats and promote biodiversity. In addition, Tree Appeal emphasizes social benefits, particularly where there is an educational aspect, and have planted trees in schools and colleges under their 'Trees for Schools' initiative. |

| Yachay Wasi Yachay Wasi, which means House of Learning in Quechua, is a non-governmental organization based in Cusco, Peru and in New York City, USA. The organization launched a campaign to plant one million native trees in the Circuit of Four Lakes -Lagunas acopia, Pomacanchi, Mosoqllacta and Pampamarca in the Peruvian Andes. The Indigenous communities living around the four lakes will nature and take care of the trees which will include; Escallonia resinosa (Chachacomo), Polylepis incana (Qeuna) and Buddleja coriacea (Qolle). |
