The Committee of Permanent Representatives is an intersessional subsidiary organ of the United Nations Environment Assembly that:
- regularly reviews the implementation of the outcomes of the UN Environment Assembly.
- guides the development of the programme of work and budget and monitors its implementation.
- provides oversight regarding the work of the secretariat.
The Committee of Permanent Representatives, in accordance with Governing Council decision 19/32, comprises accredited representatives of all the States Members of the United Nations, of the specialized agencies of the United Nations and of the European Union, whether based in Nairobi or elsewhere.
Representatives to the Committee of Permanent Representatives can become accredited through the accreditation process outlined here.

The 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference will take place on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 May 2024 at the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON).
The deadline to register for Member States and Observer States, UN Entities, including Specialized Agencies, Funds and Programmes, and Intergovernmental Organizations has been extended to 5 April 2024, by 23:59. Eastern Time. Registration can be done on the following link.
Due to limited meeting room space, the number of registered representatives per delegation is restricted to three.
