Trainings on Climate Change and Chemicals Management

for workers and trade unions

The capacity building component of the joint UNEP and Sustainlabour project on “Strengthening trade union participation in international environmental processes” revolves around a series of training sessions. Trade union representatives from four regions, namely Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Eastern Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean, will indeed attend a global “Train the Trainers” and regional training sessions.

These training sessions are unique opportunities to enhance knowledge on Climate Change, and Sound and Sustainable Management of Chemicals among trade unions, as well as to have trade union representatives from different regions meet and develop coordinated strategies on these issues in the future.

The trainings ultimately aim at empowering workers and trade unions in being active partners for progress on environment and sustainable development issues and in launching related initiatives in their workplaces.
