The East Asian Seas Congress

'Ocean information for society: sustaining the benefits, realizing the potential
The OceanObs’09 conference will celebrate a decade of progress and make a major contribution to chart the way forward for the coming decade. UNEP/GEF IW:LEARN Data and Information Management Workshop
The purpose of the workshop is to improve access to geographic data and information generated from GEF IW projects and partners worldwide. The workshop is appropriate for information specialists, GIS experts and project members who are responsible for developing metadata. Participants will gain hands-on knowledge on how to use and create metadata records with GeoNetwork Opensource (the GIS application integrated into IW:LEARN's Website Toolkit), and will also be introduced to other features of IW:LEARN's WebGIS module including how it can be used to access data from other internet map servers worldwide.
