POSTER NIKAAL As we get out of our homes and into the city, we find traffic jams, noise, pollution and to add to this claustrophobic feeling are these haphazard posters stuck on walls. Its just like chaos every where. There are banners and posters spewed randomly everywhere, causing frustrations, but we don’t do anything to change things, except cursing the government, or the local municipalities. Its high time we bring some order to this chaos. Is there a solution? BTW, It takes just a few seconds to get down from the vehicle and tear the illegal posters hanging or pasted to the trees and walls. Why do we have posters everywhere? Defacing walls is a common practice, and its an easy and cheap way to advertise. In this electronic world, its high time people use social media and free advertising portals to spread messages and spare the walls in our city. Did you know that putting posters randomly on walls, trees etc is illegal and an offence? Can we raise our voices? Can we take steps to make this a better cleaner city to live in? Just go out and take a walk, and watch the banners, posters all over the city – people selling services PAN cards, IT returns, Body massages, sleazy film posters, parties, music shows, astrologers, RTO agents, LIC agents phew... …this list is just endless. Now that you saw all that, did you enjoy the sight? Can you do something about it? YES WE CAN. START THE CAMPAIGN “POSTER NIKAAL” REMOVE EXISTING POSTERS / BANNERS IN YOUR LOCALITY FEARLESSLY. Why have we accepted these posters as a norm. Try removing these !! Trust me it gives immense satisfaction to clean the city. I started it today morning, and could finish one full road in 30 minutes flat. So if we spread this message and make a collective effort, ie. if every citizen steps out of their houses and removes posters within 10-20 meters of their building, we will be able to clean Mumbai in a few minutes. Lets all pledge to take part in this drive and make this city a better place to live in!!

Technex (IIT Varanasi), The Paper Bag Boy and Nahtam Social Responsibility has taken up the social initiative to minimize the utilization of polybags by producing paper bags. Our Paper Bag Campaign is named 'Kaagaz' (means paper). We also intend to attempt to break the Limca and Guinness World record of making the maximum number of paper bags in a given duration of time. We were planning to take this campaign to schools in Varanasi and take this campaign to a national level too. We have also radio recorded a session with Abdul Muqeet at RED FM and they have promised us to telecast this across all their 21 centers in India. This campaign is bound to spread widely very quickly and your association with us would only make us stronger! This will be an on-going program for one year connected with World Environment Day 2015 Celebration. Our Event Video: http://goo.gl/CY3vjA
