The GEO for Youth report summarizes the key findings of the GEO-5 report to create a publication palatable for a youth audience. The GEO for Youth report was being prepared by three enthusiastic youth editors and it provides recommendations for engaging young people to respond to environmental challenges by means of case studies from different regions.
Section 1 summarises the state and trends chapters of the GEO-5 report (Drivers, Atmosphere, Land, Water, Biodiversity, Chemicals and Waste and An Earth System Perspective), and will include relevant case studies under each thematic area showcasing actions that youth have undertaken or plan to undertake to address the relevant environmental challenges. Section 2 addresses findings of the GEO-5 report that are relevant to the Rio+20 Conference from a youth perspective, and finally, Section 3 provides a “roadmap” for action after the Rio+20 Conference from a youth perspective, including the introduction to the 'oneone' campaign:
