Pollution touches all parts of Earth, and it's the Largest environment cause of disease and premature death in the world. But we can curb the impact and end this pollution crisis.

As consumption and production intensify, pollution is becoming more extensive, pervasive and persistent. It damages ecosystems, and affects human health through the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe. Humanity produces 2.1 billion tonnes of waste every year, while air pollution is responsible for 8 million premature deaths each year.

But pollution is controllable and often avoidable. Shifting to cleaner industries and economies built on circular approaches will help us drive prosperity, development and better health while we beat the pollution crisis.

Protecting the planet is everyone's responsibility

Towards a pollution-free planet
