The Institute of Marine Affairs (IMA), one of the Regional Activity Centres (RACs) for the Cartagena Convention’s Protocol Concerning Pollution from Land-Based Sources and Activities (LBS), will host a three-day workshop on coastal eutrophication and harmful algal blooms. The index of coastal eutrophication is reported under Sustainable Development Goal 14.1.1.
Representatives from the Centre of Research and Environmental Management of Transport (LBS RAC) and the RAC for the Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife (SPAW) Protocol will also be in attendance.
