The 7th EbA Knowledge Day – organized by GIZ and IUCN under the Friends of EbA (FEBA) network – took place on May 26th and was themed “Overcoming Barriers to Adaptation: Employing Innovative EbA Approaches to Upscale Nature-based Solutions (NbS)”. It is a yearly meeting for EbA policymakers, practitioners, donors and researchers.
As we are currently entering the second super year for biodiversity and Nature-based Solutions to continue to gain importance, this year’s Knowledge Day picked up on the most recent developments for climate adaptation. This event, hosted virtually for the second time, was the largest-ever EbA Knowledge Day, with 450+ registered participants from 84 countries and 220 different organizations.
A welcome by BMU IKI, high-level remarks by ministers, a panel discussion and interactive sessions showcasing practical examples made the event diversified and insightful for its participants.
Please find written documentation of the sessions linked here.
