Voices from the Field: Nature-based Solutions in Humanitarian Contexts

In this session, organisations involved in the implementation of nature-based solutions in humanitarian contexts will share experiences and lessons learned from the field. Among other examples, the session will consider the role of mangrove forests before, during and after extreme events such as tsunamis. The session will discuss the need for strong partnerships, science-based evidence and hybrid strategies to protect vulnerable communities around the world.
