The Mercury Releases from the Cement Industry Area of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership will hold its annual meeting on Monday 13 February 2023 in an online setting.
Amongst others, this will be the occasion to welcome new partners, review the partnership area business plan, and present recent and upcoming activities.
The Global Mercury Partnership, through its area of work on mercury releases from the cement industry, aims to minimize mercury releases to the environment from this sector, as a contribution to the compliance with relevant provisions under the Minamata Convention.

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) is a multilateral fund dedicated to confronting biodiversity loss, climate change, pollution, and strains on land and ocean health. Over the past three decades, the GEF has provided more than $22 billion in financing and mobilized another $120 billion for more than 5,000 national and regional projects.
