Most countries are developing monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems to track progress under their NAP process. However, actively tracking the implementation of NAPs and reporting on the progress can be challenging as different MEL systems coexist at the national level with limited resources. This session will enable the sharing of perspectives, experiences and lessons learned on MEL from NAPs in the context of global processes such as the Global Goal on Adaptation. The session will provide an overview of MEL systems for adaptation in global processes and explore why NAP progress reporting is important for the NAP process.
