Atifa has over 7 years of experience working on climate change adaptation and environmental issues.
During her time with the Climate Change Adaptation unit, she has managed the development and implementation of over 25 projects funded by a range of adaptation funds including GCF, GEF and Adaptation Fund. Working on a range of issues including capacity building, knowledge management, implementation of adaptation solutions on the ground, policy and planning; and long-term research.
Atifa graduated from University of British Columbia with a Bachelors degree in Human Geography and has a particular interest in urban resilience, alongside experience working in fragile/ conflict countries such as South Sudan, Afghanistan and Myanmar.
