Florence oversees the financial management of the Cross-Cutting Capacity Development (CCCD) portfolio as well as the GCF-funded Climate Information and Early Warning Systems (CIEWS) portfolio.
She leads on the budget development, monitoring implementation and control as well as the performance reporting of the portfolios. Further, she trains implementing partners, including government officials, on UN fiduciary standards, financial and contract management as well as procurement.
She has 20 years of experience and has worked in over 25 countries, Before joining the UNEP Science Division, Florence worked in various UNEP Divisions and the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Somalia.
Florence is a national of Kenya and holds a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance.
