Hassan is a Programme Assistant (UNV) working on the Africa Portfolio.
Hassan supports the Global Environment Facility (GEF) portfolio of Climate Change Mitigation projects, especially projects in the west African region and African French-speaking countries, including project development and implementation in the areas of electric mobility, climate transparency, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable cities.
Hassan has more than 5 years of experience in environmental projects/programs development and implementation. Before joining UNEP in 2022 in his current position, Hassan worked in a consultancy firm providing support in risk management, land use planning, and environmental assessment.
Hassan is Ivorian and holds a degree in Petroleum Geology Engineering and Geographic Information Systems as well as a Master's (M.Sc.) degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
