Ignacio is a GEF mitigation expert working for initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean, currently developing as well as overseeing the development of projects various countries.
Ignacio is a national of Uruguay and holds degrees in Economics (Uruguay), MSc. in Economics (Netherlands) and an MBA (Argentina). He has more than 12 years of experience in public policies in sustainability, mobility, climate change and energy transition. Before joining UNEP, he worked in climate change policy development and implementation for IDB, GIZ and UNDP.
