Luiza supports the Global Environment Facility (GEF) portfolio of Climate Change Mitigation projects, especially projects and programs in Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing mainly on transparency, e-mobility, building efficiency and sustainable cities projects throughout the region.
Luiza has more than ten years of experience in management, planning and project execution. Prior to joining UNEP in August 2022, she worked as Urban Development Coordinator at World Resources Institute (WRI) Brazil, coordinating a multidisciplinary team in projects related to urban planning, metropolitan governance, transit-oriented development, mobility planning, building efficiency and local urban transformation.
Luiza is from Brazil and holds a Master (M.Sc.) degree in Geography (Urban Studies) from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and a graduated degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil.
