Manoj provides technical, management and implementation support to the GEF Climate Change Mitigation projects in the Asia Pacific region in the areas of energy efficiency, electric mobility, renewable energy, green housing, sustainable cities and climate transparency.
Manoj has more than 14.5 years of project management experience in the sustainable development domain including carbon finance. He has led the project execution of different GEF projects involving EE technologies, innovative EE financing and promotion of renewable energy involving different GEF implementing agencies. Prior to joining UNEP, he has worked in this sector with UNDP, Government Banks and State run ESCOs. His consulting work experience involves development of GEF CCM projects, feasibility studies for RE projects and UNFCCC CDM projects across Southeast Asia, South Asia and Africa.
Manoj has a Bachelor's in Energy & Environmental Engineering & Masters in Energy Engineering. He is also a Certified Energy Auditor and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional.
