Marcus Nield is an endlessly enthusiastic communication specialist for UNEP's Climate Change Mitigation Unit and the Global Adaptation Network (GAN).
Despite a background in journalism and documentary filmmaking, he is a science nerd deep down. Marcus was offered a scholarship to study a Masters at the University of Oxford in his chosen field of Biodiversity, Conservation & Management, which he accepted. Marcus then worked as a freelance environmental journalist and documentary filmmaker until joining UNEP and GAN.
Marcus has written articles for The Guardian, The Independent, and The Ecologist, and his documentaries have been watched widely online. In his spare time, he loves walking in nature, playing piano, and anything related to dogs!
