Moema works in project development focused on the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) portfolio since 2018, mostly in Africa, with the aim of enhancing climate transparency.
She has 9 years of experience in international cooperation. Before joining UNEP, Moema worked for the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology, where she advised on climate policy, developed project proposals, coordinated a GEF project on mitigation, and participated in UNFCCC negotiations; and previously, for the Ministry of Environment on bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Moema is a national from Brazil and Portugal, holding a Master’s degree in International Relations and a BA in Law.
