Nina oversees Communication activities and strategy for the GEF funded Mitigation portfolio at UNEP.
Nina has 14 years of working experience in journalism and communications and has worked for NGOs and institutions focused on development, humanitarian aid and climate action in India, Myanmar, Iraq, Syria, Turkey and the European Union.
Before joining UNEP in 2024 in her current position, she worked at Climate Action Network Europe in Brussels leading the work on external communications and as a member of the Management Team.
Nina is from Barcelona, holds a degree in Journalism and a master's in international development, and is passionate about human and environmental rights, social justice and gender equality.
