• Overview

The UNEP Global Mercury Partnership and its Area of work on Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining organized on Thursday 17 June 2021,  an online webinar to discuss gender mainstreaming into National Action Plans (NAPs).

The event presented an overview of gender aspects related to ASGM, explored challenges of integrating gender dimensions into the ASGM sector, shared information and discussed recommendations and best practices for considering gender when developing and implementing ASGM NAPs to meet the requirements of the Minamata Convention on Mercury (Article 7, Annex C).
