The Global Mercury Partnership and its Area of work on Mercury in Products, in collaboration with the Clean Lighting Coalition and the Zero Mercury Working Group with the support of the Government of Switzerland organized an online session on the transition to mercury-free lighting scheduled on Thursday 31 August 2023.
An interactive discussion was held online on 19 July following the presentations made at the Partnership Area on Mercury Releases from Coal Combustion Meeting held in Jakarta on Thursday 13 July 2023 in conjunction with the fifteenth International Workshop on Multi-pollutant Emissions from Coal workshop (MEC15) "Strategies for targeted emission reductions from the Indonesian coal fleet: capacity building to accelerate compliance".

The Global Mercury Partnership, in cooperation with its Areas of Work on Mercury Supply and Storage as well as on Mercury Waste Management, organized an online session “Managing mercury along the oil and gas value chains: sharing of experience and best practices” on Tuesday 18 July 2023.
The Partnership Area on Mercury Releases from Coal Combustion held its first face-to-face meeting in over three years on 13 July 2023, in conjunction with the MEC15 International Workshop entitled "Strategies for targeted emission reductions from the Indonesian coal fleet: capacity building to accelerate compliance" held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 11 and 12 July 2023.

The Partnership Area on mercury in Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining organized an information sharing session on 26 June in an online setting. The event presented updates of ongoing U.S Department of State granted mercury related projects in the ASGM sector and provided an opportunity to exchange on potential synergies.
The Partnership Area on Mercury in Products, in collaboration with UNEP United for Efficiency (U4E) and the Clean Lighting Coalition, with the support of Switzerland organized the in-person workshop, on 19-20 June 2023, in Geneva, Switzerland.
