First Extraordinary Intergovernmental Meeting of the Northwest Pacific Action Plan

Seoul, (Republic of Korea), 9-10 April 2014

The 1st Extraordinary NOWPAP IGM  decided to reduce the total number of RCU staff members of the UNEP to a maximum of four and requested UNEP to conduct a functional review of NOWPAP RCU offices two years after the recruitment of the last staff member. The meeting also decided to discuss functions of new posts for the two RCU offices at the 19th NOWPAP IGM to be held in Russia in the second half of 2014, to conclude discussions on appropriate measures regarding the financial sustainability of the RCU offices.
