22nd Intergovernmental Meeting of NOWPAP

Twenty Second Intergovernmental Meeting of the Northwest Pacific Action Plan  

The 22nd Intergovernmental Meeting (19-21 December 2017, Toyama, Japan) agreed on the principles contained in the NOWPAP Medium-term Strategy 2018-2023 (MTS 2018-2023) and adopted MTS 2018-2023 by correspondence. The meeting also requested NOWPAP RCU and RACs, in consultation with the Focal Points, to develop the monitoring and evaluation framework for MTS 2018-2023 and Terms of Reference for the Regional Action Plan on Marine Litter (RAP MALI) Focal Points. NOWPAP biennial budget and Programme of Work for 2018-2019 were approved by the meeting. Member states also approved a budget envelope for the development of NOWPAP Special Projects.
