37th ECA online meeting on training and certification schemes on the safe use of alternatives

The meeting is a part of the activities of UNEP OzonAction's Montreal Protocol Network for Europe and Central Asia (ECA network). Simultaneous English-Russian interpretation will be provided.  Participants will include staff of the national Montreal Protocol Units (MPUs), refrigeration experts, representatives of implementing agencies and regional partners, and RACHP training centres.

The objective of the meeting is to discuss training and certification schemes on the safe use of alternatives, including necessary legislation, practical aspects of implementing a certification system (training and certification bodies, their interaction, registers), scope of training on alternatives, training stands (simulators)/equipment, internship for ammonia, carbon dioxide, HC-refrigerants, HFOs, and other practical issues.  Based on the discussion, ECA might consider related legislative and policy measures to develop or improve a mandatory certification system on safe use of alternative refrigerants.
