Meeting on Adoption and Implementation of ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature 2022 (AHTN2022), 10 May 2022

The objective of this meeting is to discuss and share information among SEA network countries on the status of adoption of the AHTN2022. The meeting will also discuss whether specific HS codes for HFCs and blends have been assigned under the AHTN2022 at the national level and, if not yet, to exchange ideas on which kind of mechanism can be adopted to enable the country to track import statistics of HFCs and blends by substances.

As a result of this meeting, participants are expected to get a better understanding of the importance of assigning specific HS codes for the most commonly used HFCs and blends and to identify how to strengthen their MRVE system including adoption/implementation of AHTN2022 related to controlled substances under the Montreal Protocol.
