UNEP OzonAction is pleased to exhibit on a weekly basis the 36 winning pieces of art from the 2022 “Asia Pacific Regional Ozone2Climate Art Contest”. The 3rd place winners in the Adult graphic design category are depicted below.
The competition was designed to increase public awareness about the importance of the Montreal Protocol for protecting human health and nature and to generate further support for the Protocol’s compliance objectives.
The contest was organized as part of UNEP’s mandate as an Implementing Agency of the Protocol’s Multilateral Fund.

This Artwork aims to show that there is something everyone can do to solve the problem of our Ozone and climate change. With small actions, it is already a big help in solving the problem of our nature. Simply minimizing our industrial processes, limiting the use of air conditioners, and refrigerators are a big help to reduce the causes of ozone depletion.
Our world is very large and it can be said that the partnership between different countries to solve our ozone layer problem is a good result.
Moreover, this artwork also shows the seed which we all have. Young or old, male or female, and whatever nationality we belong, we have something to do to help in solving the problem of our mother earth. We are the creators of these problems, specifically the ozone problem and climate change. Therefore, if we can make them, also we can solve them.

Nature fosters all lives on earth. Instead of respecting nature, human has been attempting to dominate nature including the ozone layer and climate. Time and time again, human efforts have led to catastrophes, for example, the 2004 tsunami and the 2011 flood in Thailand. Catastrophe caught up with us faster than we thought! Damaging nature is a direct assault on all of us. We must stop our hostile relationship with nature and reunite ourselves as one with nature before it is too late.

The Earth without the ozone layer is like a house with no roof. The main cause of ozone layer depletion comes from anthropogenic factors, among which a large proportion of emissions come from our cooling equipment being used in our daily activities. As a result, the ozone layer is severely "perforated". So each of us should take prompt actions to hinder further destruction and start to protect the ozone layer - protect our planet.
