This report presents an analysis of the implementation and results of the SWITCH Africa Green programme in the manufacturing sector focusing on the participating countries Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Uganda. It covers the strategic interventions, results realised, cross cutting thematic issues notably energy, water, eco-innovation, labels and standards, sustainable trade and markets, challenges, lessons learnt and presents a set of recommendations. The report is informed by a SWITCH Africa Green programme survey carried out in May 2018, grantee reports, case studies, peer reviews and regional stakeholder consultations including a regional sector meeting held on 26-27 September 2019 in Entebbe, Uganda. The report is one of four sector reports, one for each of the priority sectors of the programme: agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and integrated
waste management (IWM).
