We are pleased to invite you to the final two webinars in the  “Resilient Islands: Zero Waste and Circular Caribbean” series, which has been running since January 2024. This important initiative, organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), and partners under the European Union-funded "Zero Waste in the Caribbean: New Ways New Waves" initiative, co-funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and, in collaboration with CARIFORUM, has provided a platform for exploring Circular Economy practices in the Caribbean. These webinars have brought together experts, policymakers, and community leaders to explore sustainable solutions for the Region’s waste management and economic development.

As we reach the conclusion of this series, we invite you to join us for two significant webinars that will explore the transformative potential of circular systems in agriculture and tourism.

Save the dates for these key sessions:

1. "From Farm to Table to Soil: Caribbean Food Security Through Circular Systems"

In this session, we will explore how circular practices in agriculture can support food security and ecological health. Topics will include regenerative farming, the role of composting and organic waste recycling, and the potential of food scraps to create value-added products. Experts will highlight community-led initiatives that have enhanced soil fertility and strengthened local food production systems in the Caribbean.

2. "Circular Tourism and Public Health in the Caribbean"

This webinar will focus on how the tourism sector can transition to circular practices to enhance both sustainability and public health. Presentations will also cover topics such as zero-waste tourism policies, community-based recycling initiatives in popular tourist destinations, sustainable building materials and energy-saving strategies.

Both webinars will feature expert panels, case studies, and interactive discussions, providing valuable insights and actionable recommendations for policymakers, the private sector, community leaders, and civil society organizations.

Key Objectives of These Webinars:
- Raise awareness and build capacity among stakeholders on how circular practices can be adopted for sustainable development across sectors.
- Share successful case studies and best practices that can be adapted and scaled across the Caribbean.
- Encourage stronger collaboration between governments, the private sector, and communities to advance circular economy initiatives.

These two webinars will offer unique perspectives on how circular systems can be applied to agriculture and tourism to create sustainable, resilient economies in the Caribbean. They will also explore how these sectors can work together to improve environmental health, public well-being, and community resilience.

Who Should Attend:
- Governments and Policymakers
- Private Sector
- Community Leaders

We look forward to your participation in this vital discussion as we work together toward a sustainable and resilient future for the Caribbean.
