The Marine Litter Monitoring Methods Handbook provides information to participants in COBSEA participating countries about the different monitoring approaches that are taken in international marine litter monitoring programs.

This document provides Regional Guidance on Harmonized National Marine Litter Monitoring Programmes to strengthen and harmonize marine litter monitoring efforts toward preventing and reducing marine litter and its impacts, in line with the COBSEA Regional Action Plan on Marine Litter (RAP MALI).

This report was prepared by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Coordinating Body for the Seas of East Asia (COBSEA) Secretariat to provide legal guidance to COBSEA member countries requesting assistance on tackling marine liter.
