Africa has a considerable number of unemployed youths, so how do we turn climate change challenges into an opportunity for green jobs while contributing to transformative adaptation and long-term resilience? How well are youth integrated in the decision-making processes towards transformative adaptation and long-term resilience in Africa? What more needs to be done at the institutional and policy level to ensure their effective inclusion in climate responsive measures? This session, led by UNFCCC with support from UNDP and UNEP, will be exploring some of these key questions.
