Launch: CityAdapt Platform for Climate-resilient Cities

Climate change is a reality, and it is necessary to support local governments and citizens in their adaptation action. This new platform builds on the CityAdapt and Nature4Cities initiatives that support 16 cities in 10 countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region to strengthen their resilience to climate change, and it will provide an accessible space for information, knowledge and dialogue for all cities in the region.

During this event, the context of adaptation in the region and opportunities for action at the local level to increase climate resilience will be discussed, also reflecting on the results of Cop27 on financing, Loss and Damage, and the contributions to the Global Goal of Adaptation, all with the objective of understanding the implications of the agreements for cities in the region.
