We invite you to participate in the session Loss and Damage in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region: Science, Policy Dimensions and Mechanisms To Avert, Minimize and Address Impacts of Climate Change. Some of the objectives of the session include:

• Enhance knowledge and understanding of science and policy of loss and damage in the LAC region.
• Present stakeholders’ perspectives on loss and damage, identified policy gaps and COP 27 expectations.
• Explore mechanisms that countries and communities can implement to avert, minimize and address loss and damage and how they can access support for such actions.
