The Adaptation Action Days II for the Latin American and Caribbean region will be a space in which lessons learned and progress on adaptation will be shared, in addition to promoting the construction and communication of a regional vision on adaptation priorities and proposals, encompassing highly relevant issues, such as the scaling of nature-based solutions (NbS) for climate resilience, the increase in financing for adaptation, the involvement of the private sector, and mechanisms to minimize and address loss and damage.

Objectives:

  • Promote spaces for learning, exchange of experiences and opportunities for collaboration on adaptation in the Latin American and Caribbean region;
  • Position the potential of NbS for climate resilience in the region, and explore opportunities to scale their ambition in national and sub-national policy and public and private financing;
  • Promote the exchange of lessons learned, good practices and collective strategies to increase and improve the involvement of the private sector in adaptation;
  • Generate spaces for constructive dialogue on the vision and adaptation objectives of the region ahead of COP27.
