Vacancies: Call for EbA Experts in Bangladesh

The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change in Bangladesh is recruiting two consultants for an Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) project. The two vacancies are for: 1) an International Technical Advisor (ITA); and 2) an International EbA Expert (IEE).

The project is titled Ecosystem-based Approaches to Adaptation (EbA) in the Drought-Prone Barind Tract and Haor “Wetland” Area Project.

The project is hiring an International Technical Advisor to strengthen the implementation in two EbA regions of Bangladesh. She/He will provide services for 150 days. The ITA will work with the national experts and assist in building the capacity of the Project Management Unit for implementing the project in Bangladesh. The ITA must have technical expertise in applying EbA best practices to achieve project objectives.  

The project is hiring an International EbA Expert to strengthen the implementation of EbA in 2 regions of Bangladesh. S/he will provide services for 70 days. S/he will work with international and national experts, and assist in building the capacity of the Project Management Unit for implementing the EbA project in Bangladesh. S/he should be aware of the complexity of the operations of donor-supported projects, and more particularly Least Developed Country Fund (LDCF)-financed projects.
