Regional Liaison for Africa, Global Adaptation Network. Oscar Ivanova is the GAN Liaison for the African Region. Oscar's main task is to strengthen regional partnerships and support EBAFOSA, our regional node for Africa, to expand its network. He also helps gathering evidence with a focus on EbA, organizes regional stakeholder dialogues, assists the launch of the Global EbA Fund, and supports the GAN Secretariat in its activities. He previously worked within the Climate for Nature Branch and the Communication Division of UNEP on the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, where he was helping with the overall coordination/management. Being native from Chamonix Mont-Blanc, in the middle of the French Alps, Oscar feels very close to nature and will always enjoy going for a hike, exploring the local ecosystems and appreciating observing animals there.
