EPIC-Network Conference

The EPIC-Network is a collection of more than 70 institutions currently implementing the EPIC Model approach. Using the EPIC Model to match cities’ needs with learning priorities of university and college students allow for a broad spectrum of sustainability issues to be addressed in a win-win situation—students gain real-world, hands-on experience, allowing them to develop professionally, while local municipalities can leverage the often-untapped expertise of local universities to tackle their sustainability challenges at low cost. GAN has supported the virtual EPIC-Asia workshop and its launch in May 2021, where representatives from 32 Asian city and university partnerships participated.

The free 2021 EPIC-Network Conference will be hosted virtually October 5-7, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (CT). The EPIC-Network hosts a conference and workshop for university representatives, local government officials, and organizational partners interested in adopting, adapting, and/or enhancing the EPIC Model for their institutions and communities. GAN Secretariat will be speaking at the session on October 5th from 9:00-9:50am (CT).

During the event, EPIC-N plans to engage voices from around the world to:

• Review EPIC-Network Progress from 2020 to Present Day
• Illustrate the Impact of the EPIC-Network
• Highlight Resources for Members of EPIC-N
