The UNFCCC- Climate Action and Support Transparency Training (CASTT) Adaptation Academy in Asia 2024 is now accepting registrations for the week-long international training programme on the adaptation reporting aspects of the enhanced transparency framework of the Paris Agreement.

It aims to enhance technical capacity for adaptation assessments, planning, policy frameworks, and coordination across ministries and governance levels to act on climate change. Given that countries are required to submit their Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) by the end of 2024, this training will help enhance knowledge, skills and overall capacity of developing countries in preparing their BTRs highlighting adaptation reporting.

This training is hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea, with support of the UNFCCC secretariat, co-organised by the Korea Environment Institute (KEI)-Korea Adaptation Center for Climate Change (KACCC), Asian Institute for Technology (AIT), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)-Asia Pacific Adaptation Network (APAN), UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre (UNEP CCC), and RCC Asia-Pacific (RCC AP).

The CASTT Adaptation Academy was launched by the UNFCCC secretariat in collaboration with five research and educational institutions in 2021. For more information or enquiries, please contact the UNFCCC CASTT Adaptation Academy Asia Programme (https://unfccc.int/castt-adaptation-academy) or email:  vuenaneri2023@gmail.com.
