The Sixteenth International Conference On Mercury as a Global Pollutant (ICMGP-16 took place from 21 to 26 July 2024 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, Cape Town, in South Africa. The meeting was a great opportunity to learn more on existing research and interact with a wide range of scientists and stakeholders on mercury science.

The Mercury supply and storage Area of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership held its annual meeting on Thursday 25 February 2021, in an online setting.
The meeting was first provided with an update by the Secretariat of the Partnership on ongoing and future planned activities, as well as by the Secretariat of the Minamata Convention on issues related to mercury supply sources and storage under the Convention.
Minamata online is an initiative from the Secretariat of the Minamata Convention.
On 29 September 2020, Minamata Online held an information session on “Mercury material flow: Supply, demand and trade”.
The joint meeting took place as an online conference call on 3 February 2017 with the objective to share ideas on enhancing collaboration and synergies in order to meet the common Global Mercury Partnership goal and objectives amongst the three partnership areas:
