IETC is recruiting an experienced project evaluator as a Consultant to conduct mid-term evaluation of IETC’s project on promotion and delivery of environmentally sound waste management technologies.
The duration of the contract is 1 working-month over a 1.5-month period, and the contract is expected to start late October 2020 (subject to the administration process).
Qualifications/special skills
Academic Qualifications:
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in environmental sciences, international development or other relevant political or social sciences area
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of work experience relevant to this job, including minimum of 2 years of technical/review experience, including using a Theory of Change approach;
- Proven experience of evaluating similar projects, preferably involving UNEP or other UN agencies or major donors;
- Demonstrated knowledge of sustainable development and waste management;
- Working knowledge of the UN system and specifically the work of UNEP is an added advantage;
- Excellent communication and report writing skills in English, with analytical capacity and ability to synthesize project outputs and relevant findings; and
- Ability to pick up new terminology and concepts easily and to turn information from various sources into a coherent document.
Language:
Excellent written and spoken English is required. Another UN language would be an asset.
