UNFCCC released the updated NDC Synthesis Report on 17th September 2021 ahead of COP26 in November. The report includes an update on all 191 Parties to the Paris Agreement from the previous report back in February 2021.
The new report, using Parties' most recent NDCs submitted to the interim registry up to 30th July 2021, covers a greater number of NDCs compared to the February report. It demonstrates a clearer picture of the global outlook for government action on greenhouse gas emissions and commitment to the Paris Agreement.
A final iteration of the key findings in the NDC Synthesis Report will be released on 25th October to allow access to the latest NDCs prior to COP26 that begins on 31st October.
