The NDC Action project pursues a sector-based approach to designing solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and/or adapt to the effects of climate change, aligned with the stated ambitions of the NDCs in partner countries.
This includes a focus on Agriculture & Water, Buildings, Coastal Resilience, Industry, Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency, Transport and Waste.
The selection of sectors and priority actions is a country-driven process and the project’s technical and financial resources are directed to supporting the Government’s priorities and preferences. This includes decisions regarding the mix of State and Market-driven investment models to enable the economy-wide transition to sustainable, low-carbon and climate resilient technologies, while creating jobs and improving human welfare.
