Supporting policies and programmes for enhanced NDC implementation & LTS development
Supporting the country with its efforts to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change, the project will prepare a portfolio of recommendations on policies and programmes that will drive NDC implementation in the industry sector through enhanced dissemination of renewable energies, as well as in the context of resilient housing in coastal areas of Bangladesh.
Through related analytical reports developed by the project’s national technical institute (NTI) and the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre (UCCC), the project will evaluate prerequisites, barriers, and potential gaps in public planning, and indicates possible adjustments for a better achievement of the corresponding NDC objectives.
The synchronisation of NDC targets with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework, along with the evaluation of policy impacts on the gender dimension, will equally form part of the project's analytical reports, thereby helping the country to ensure well-integrated and inclusive climate action.
