Supporting policies and programmes for enhanced NDC implementation & LTS development
The NDC Action project chose two priority sectors based on the agreement from the Government after multi-stakeholder meetings in the early stage of the project. The project aims to prepare a portfolio of policies and programs in the selected priority sectors that will drive NDC implementation. For this purpose the project team will do a desk review to assess the existing policies and programs in the two sectors, followed by conducting several meetings with relevant stakeholder to identify the projects, activities and the associated opportunities, challenges and needs. In addition to identify new projects and activities and evaluate different opportunities and their contribution to drive NDC implementation as well as to link with the SDGs and gender mainstreaming. The project team will use the outcomes of the above-mentioned activities to prepare an analytical report on policies and programs with the identified challenges and recommendations for addressing them. This report will be presented for the stakeholders for validation and approval.
