Supporting policies and programmes for enhanced NDC implementation & LTS development
Led by the project’s National Technical Institution, NDC ACTION provides recommendations on political instruments and programmes in selected priority areas that will drive LT-LEDS and NDC implementation. For this purpose, analytical reports will be developed at the sectoral and transversal levels in consultation with key stakeholders, covering prerequisites, opportunities, risks, and potential solutions to overcome barriers to implementing ambitious climate action. In addition, recommendations will be developed on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and/or measuring, reporting and verification (MRV) mechanisms incl. indicators for the implementation of the LT-LEDS and its Sectoral Decarbonisation Plans.
The national project work plan is currently being developed under the guidance of the Department of Sustainable Development. Depending on concrete support needs and the availability of funds, project activities may be added or modified.
