Supporting policies and programmes for enhanced NDC implementation & LTS development
The Low Carbon Development Center (VN-LOCAD) in collaboration with the Climate Change Research Center (CCRC) are National Technical Institutions to deliver the activities for the Project’s focused areas, Sustainable Urban Cooling and Coastal Zone Adaptation.
Under urban cooling promotion, in collaboration with the Cool Coalition, policy analysis and implementation programs will be carried out at the national scale. An in-depth assessment and recommendations for appropriate policies will be piloted for one city of Viet Nam's Central Coastal Region provinces.
Under coastal resilience building, a highly impacted field/sector in a vulnerable province in Viet Nam’s Central Coastal Region will be selected for in-depth climate resilience research. The project results are expected to provide a technical basis to support policies on climate change adaptation in the region in particular and in Viet Nam in general.
