The main objective of the Pilot Advanced Training for National Ozone Officers is to build upon the introductory NOO training and engage NOOs in more advanced topics related to operational activities under the Montreal Protocol projects and practical data reporting to the Ozone and Multilateral Fund Secretariats. The training will support national governments in meeting their commitments under the Montreal Protocol, including the Kigali Amendment on HFCs.
This workshop is organised by the UNEP OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme in cooperation with the Pacific Island Countries' Network. The workshop aims to discuss the way forward for the adoption and enforcement of Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG) as well as other regulations related to the safe use of flammable refrigerants at the national level and explore how to engage stakeholders in this process.
