Burkina Faso

In Burkina Faso, the main barrier to the adoption of green business practices is the low level of awareness of consumers and producers regarding the opportunities for, and benefits of, switching to green. A large proportion of micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises have the potential to generate greater income and employment from green business practices but are limited by their lack of knowledge and limited access to markets and capital.

To address these issues, the networking facility offers activities that allow stakeholders in the country to communicate and share experiences and best practices and that allow for the knowledge gained from project implementation to be distilled for application in upscaling and replication and the relevant policies to be taken up by a wide range of government actors.
